In alignment with the Mauritius Energy Efficiency (Energy Consumer and Energy Audit) Regulations of 2017, and as per the directive of the Energy Efficiency Management Office (EEMO), EEG (Energy Efficiency Group) conducted an ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audit encompassing the entire resort premises.
The property has always demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Past initiatives include the installation of heat recovery systems for chillers, a substantial solar thermal system, a comprehensive lighting retrofit, and the integration of heat pumps.
The Energy Audit was successfully concluded in July 2023, and the final report included a total of 13 Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy actions, with the potential to achieve a 32% reduction in both energy consumption and carbon emissions.
