- Mercure Hotel Windhoek: The Mercure Hotel Windhoek, a 3-star property, has been operating since 1966. It offers 98 guest rooms and is centrally located. Its 9,819 m2 structure includes a main building (housing the lobby, Food & Beverage outlets, and pool) and a separate guest rooms building. This property also incorporates the complex's central laundry operation.
- Windhoek International Convention Centre (WICC): As Namibia's largest conference center, the WICC offers fifteen flexible venues that can host up to 2,500 attendees. Situated adjacent to the hotels, this one-floor, 3,890 m² facility specializes in large-scale international and local events, supported by Accor's culinary teams.

Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Practices
Both hotel properties operate with a strong, multi-faceted commitment to sustainability, guided by the Accor group's Sustainable Hospitality program.
Key practices and initiatives across the properties include:
- Renewable Energy: A significant 399.96 kWp Photovoltaic (PV) system is already installed on the roofs, contributing 6% to the complex’s total electricity consumption.
- Energy Efficiency initiatives, including: All LED-based lighting systems, air-to-water heat pumps for domestic hot water production, and extensive metering
- Water Management: Water-efficient faucets and dual-flush toilets to minimize water use.
- Operational Commitment: The hotels actively contribute to the Accor mission of fostering local sustainability, which includes focusing on local sourcing and community support.
Key Findings: Energy Efficiency Roadmap and Projected Savings
EEG’s ASHRAE Level II methodology established a comprehensive Energy Efficiency Roadmap for the management team. The final report identified 12 distinct Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) targeting optimization across the complex’s mechanical and electrical systems.
The full implementation of these EEMs is forecast to yield substantial operational and environmental benefits, providing a clear path to reinforcing the complex’s reputation for environmental stewardship:
- Utility Cost Reduction: Up to 44% reduction in total utility costs for the complex.
- Carbon Emission Reduction: Over 55% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions.
These findings provide the complex with a clear roadmap for implementing impactful changes that will further solidify its commitment to environmental stewardship while maintaining its reputation for exceptional hospitality
