EEG completed an industrial energy audit to GIC Cement plant in Guinea

Guinéenne d’Industries Ciments (GIC) has been operating since 2012, specializing in the production, packaging, and marketing of various types of Portland cement. With an annual production capacity of 1,400,000 tons, GIC operates a state-of-the-art cement grinding plant in Kagbelen, equipped with advanced technology, including KHD rollers and conventional grinders.

As part of its commitment to energy efficiency, GIC engaged EEG for an industrial energy audit, which was completed in January 2025. The audit provided a comprehensive thermal and electrical energy consumption assessment across key processes and utility systems, along with a Power Quality and  Electrical Demand analysis.

The final report outlined 12 efficiency measures, including power generation alternatives and power quality mitigation solutions. These initiatives are expected to drive substantial energy savings, enhance environmental sustainability, and optimize the plant’s production capacity. This investment underscores GIC's dedication to operational excellence and responsible resource management.
