- Project (2022) : The local SEACAP 4 SDGs is a collaborative effort funded by the EU in partnership with LCEC. SEACAP (The Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plan) primary objective is to combat climate change by reducing energy consumption in public buildings and forcing the development of various actions through innovative financial mechanisms.
- Mandate: As the selected local external consultants, EEG underwent specialized training to develop toolkits, drawing insights from various reference projects. Furthermore, EEG provided a comprehensive training session on the selected toolkits within the SEACAP Living Lab.In that context, EEG successfully updated Jdeidet Al Chouf's existing SEACAP report by introducing an updated Energy Mix at the entire municipal level. Working closely with LCEC and Jdeidet Al Chouf Municipality, two demonstrator buildings in the healthcare and education sectors were selected for user-oriented, cost-effective energy rehabilitations; whereby two energy audits were performed and selected toolkits were implemented to select the most efficient technologies for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Following the SEACAP recommendations, a 19.8 hybrid KWp solar PV system with 28.8 Kwh storage system was installed at Al Mokhtara High School in Jdeidet AL Chouf.
